Geoff Short is a Music Producer, Theatrical Director and Marketing and Entertainment specialist. He holds a Master's degree in Entertainment Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Production, both from Full Sail University. He is a two-time Valedictorian and received the Course Director's Awards for Business Law, Business Plan Development, and Musical Structure and Analysis. As Global Brand Manager Manager for Chauvet Lighting he developed and hosts both CHAUVET DJ Academy as well as the Gig Lab and Thursday Vids video series offering live performance and entertainment planning and lighting advice to viewers worldwide. Geoff also presents seminars and other entertainment educational opportunities for mobile entertainers throughout the country. He has written and directed short horror films as an innovative way to market and promote lighting products and effects during the Halloween season. Geoff oversees the social media presence of the Chauvet DJ brand of lighting products and generates digital content and creative advertising copy. Previously Geoff was the Sales and Promotions Manager of Cleveland Music Group where he developed and sold live music entertainment services and collaborated with clients to plan special event entertainment needs using his in-depth knowledge of special event entertainment and production services.

Geoff has spent a lifetime involved in the performing arts as a singer, actor, director and songwriter. He grew up in Berea, Ohio (Cleveland area) and from the time he was 10 years old, he has performed and directed in musical theater, pop groups and other performing groups. Geoff produced the 4-year theater video documentary series “STAGES: Stories of the BW Music Theater Program” for Baldwin-Wallace University and “Call-Back”- promotional and documentary videos for Cleveland area theatre groups. Geoff relocated to South Florida in 2013.
